08 - Video - Winning bets shouldn't make you feel sick
[ She's trying so very hard to look smug despite the nausea. ]
Today marks the end of my third week here, death free. Pay up, Crane.
[ Filtered away from Crane ]
Being sick doesn't count away from my victory, does it? And while we're on the subject, does anybody have tylenol?
[ No really, she looks awful. Green around the gills awful. She just... hasn't quite figured it out yet. Herpa derp. ]

Hi. I don't believe we've met, I'm Stephanie. Are you by any chance feeling sick today?
no subject
T'Pol. [She still sounds rough around the edges.] Why are you asking?
no subject
It's just that I've been feeling pretty nasty myself, only it got better when I went upstairs, and when I walked down the hall, and then I passed by your door and it started to get worse again.

Do you mind if I just sort of... hang out? Tylenol's not really helping.

[ She sliiiides into the room. Still awkwardly. Meeting new people is always awkward. ]

[There's an Oxford Bible, because human religions are interesting, a couple technical texts, and a copy of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.]
no subject
Uhm, would you mind if I borrowed Frankenstein? I've never read it before.

Is there a problem?
no subject
No, no problem. [ And she turns back to the book, making a slightly amused and highly skeptical face at it. Honestly. What a perfectly sparkly sunshiny childhood Frankenstein proclaims to have had. ]

[ For the next fifteen to twenty minutes she manages to read quietly, and then she gets to the part where the monster comes to life. Yes, she's gotten to be a very fast reader since she started hiding in the library. No, she isn't happy about it. She faceplants into the book, trying hard not to snicker. Frankenstein was a coward too. This was completely not what she expected. ]

You find it humorous?

What were you expecting?
no subject
Well, I was sort of expecting some crazed, mad scientist and a hideous monster, something scary. This is all... romanticized. Seriously? Nobody has that picture perfect childhood, it's ridiculous!

[ She goes back to the book, continuing to read. There had to be something scary, didn't there? ]
