[T'Pol doesn't bother replying; she's getting frustrated, and that is really very bad. She just spends another moment not-glaring, before closing her eyes and trying to meditate again.]

[ Twenty minutes later: She's starting to get antsy now. Her fingers tap idly on the book's cover as she reads and she keeps shifting around, trying to get comfortable. Lucky she doesn't have a pen, or she would be clicking it over and over and over again. ]

[Thank God for small favors. T'Pol's very good at sitting quietly, even if she's having trouble meditating. They're going to set up a routine, at this rate. Opening her eyes, T'Pol glanced toward Stephanie's fidgeting. Cut that shit out, man.]

[ Steph is completely oblivious, and manages to start tapping her feet on the floor. ]

Oh! Sorry. I'll stop. [ She folds her feet under her legs and turns back to the book. Only around five minutes later she puts it down again. ]

Do you think you could teach me to meditate? Nobody's really had the patience in the past.

[SHE WONDERS WHY. But T'Pol opens her eyes and looks toward Stephanie before inclining her head. She gestures towards the pillow opposite her, candle on the low platform between them.] I will try.

[ She leaps up and plops herself down across from T'Pol. ]

Alright, what do I do?

[She's trying to tell herself that she's done this before and she can do it again, but her patience is pretty damn frazzled to begin with, so she just takes a deep breath.] Empty your mind. Find something calming to focus on, if necessary, something that will take your attention from all other thoughts.

That will have to be your decision. [She pauses, eying Steph before closing her eyes.] I envision a white void when I meditate, empty and bright.

[ Keeps her eyes closed, but frowns in concentration. A white void. Like the sun, only it doesn't burn your eyes, because it's not made of burning helium. So then what's it made of? Isn't there a type of star that's white? How does that work? ]

What are white stars made of?
