Sorry. [ She at least seems a little sheepish. She didn't mean to make noises. ]

[ For the next fifteen to twenty minutes she manages to read quietly, and then she gets to the part where the monster comes to life. Yes, she's gotten to be a very fast reader since she started hiding in the library. No, she isn't happy about it. She faceplants into the book, trying hard not to snicker. Frankenstein was a coward too. This was completely not what she expected. ]

[That's twenty minutes of meditation, which means twenty minutes of fighting to meditate. Which is great. Or, you know. Awful. So that laughing has her exhaling loudly, eyes opening, and turning toward her again. Vulcans don't glare. But damn is she doing a good impression of it.]

Yes, [She said, turning her attention back to the candle. But if she were being honest, she couldn't meditate anyway. Trying to bury the frustration, she looked at the girl again.]

Well, I was sort of expecting some crazed, mad scientist and a hideous monster, something scary. This is all... romanticized. Seriously? Nobody has that picture perfect childhood, it's ridiculous!

[T'Pol stood, sitting on the short couch instead of the floor.] It was written in your romantic era. The point is not his childhood.

But then he brings this guy to life and all of a sudden he's scared by it? What did he expect would happen?

[T'Pol doesn't bother replying; she's getting frustrated, and that is really very bad. She just spends another moment not-glaring, before closing her eyes and trying to meditate again.]

[ Twenty minutes later: She's starting to get antsy now. Her fingers tap idly on the book's cover as she reads and she keeps shifting around, trying to get comfortable. Lucky she doesn't have a pen, or she would be clicking it over and over and over again. ]

[Thank God for small favors. T'Pol's very good at sitting quietly, even if she's having trouble meditating. They're going to set up a routine, at this rate. Opening her eyes, T'Pol glanced toward Stephanie's fidgeting. Cut that shit out, man.]
