10 - SPAM for Tim Drake - Autumn days

[ It's cold out, but not freezing. Stephanie has left the safety of the library, the CES, even stopped stalking the Master long enough to stand on deck, leaning against the rail and breathing in the autumn air. Because that's what it is; autumn air. She's missed it. She hates to admit it, but she misses home. She misses going to school and fighting crime with Oracle and Proxy on the other end of a comm link, and sometimes she even misses the weather. What she really wants is a cup of hot cider, but for now the rustling of leaves and cold air on her skin are plenty. She really needs to get up on deck more often. She's happier than she's been in a long while. Not as happy as she was in the carnival, but close, and it seems like nothing could possibly dampen her mood. ]

So neither of us ever win anything. No wonder we had such a healthy relationship.

You know what? No. You know what happened to me. Did you ever stop and think that maybe I needed to disappear for a while? Stop being Stephanie Brown and just deal?

[Yeah he's really not. All that over this. :|] By letting me think you were dead? You know, I tried to break up with someone in a note once, and that would have been better than what happened! If you needed to disappear, if you needed time, fine. I would have understood. [Maybe.]

You know, it wouldn't kill you to say that when you want to once in a while. And what exactly did you mean? That hiding how you feel from your friends isn't the best plan?
