89,26 - It was all just a horrible dream

I still want to have a party. The pool is heated, might be fun. Or maybe decorate gingerbread cookies or something. Anyway it’s coming, whenever I’m feeling better. I’m open to suggestions.
[Spam for Cass/Kon]
[ When Steph first wakes up her thought process goes a little like this:
What a horrible nightmare. Better stay awake until I’m sure it’s gone.
It was so vivid. I can almost feel where she stabbed me. I feel kinda nauseous.
Huh, this looks like the infirmary.
Oh. This is the infirmary.
Holy crap I died.
She flails wildly in an attempt to roll out of bed and get her bearings before quickly realizing that moving is a horrible idea. ]
[Spam for Anyone]
[Steph sits in the infirmary for several days, sleeping and eating jell-o and occassionally reading. She feels awful, but she likes to think she’s making the best of it by catching up on some classics. Agatha Christie is someone’s idea of a classic, right? ]

How are you feeling?
[Spam]
Better now. Those look fresh.

So, am I allowed to ask who I have to beat up?
[It was an out if she didn't want to talk about it, because he definitely, definitely got that. But if she needed someone to talk it out with, he was happy to listen.]

Stop that. You'll... rehurt yourself.
[And brace yourself for giant bearhugs, Steph. You're gonna get one.]

S-Steph! You're awake!
[Kon has seen better days by far. His hair is a mess and his eyes are blood shot red from a combination of not sleeping and fighting off tears. This time around he lets the tears flow because he's so happy to see her awake and alive. Kon would join in on the hugging action but he's thinking a group hug might be too much for her at this point.]

I feel sick. [ Nope, not okay. ]

For what occasion did you wish to host this party of yours?
[SPAM]
The occasion of people needing some good memories. Or maybe just me needing them. Either way, I want to have some fun before the next disaster strikes.

[Aya takes note of the unpleasant look on Steph's face.]
Do you require assistance? Perhaps you should not be sitting in that position if it causes you pain.

Steph?
[Her voice is soft as she wheels over, and a bit strained. Maybe she should have waited - she's never had to deal with someone coming back from the dead but she just couldn't.]

What's in the box?
Spam
Cookies, mostly. Whenever you can eat them. And something to keep you company.
[She hands Steph the tin. If she opens it, she'll find a little Spoiler doll, nestled beside the stacks of oatmeal cranberry.
It had come with Barbara, like all the rest, when she arrived on the Barge. She'd started making it after the Joker escaped; it had been pretty clear, by then, that Spoiler was becoming part of their makeshift family, even if certain people wouldn't admit it.
She'd only just finished, before the Admiral's offer. Fitting, maybe.]

Heard something about a party. Figured I'd come check it out.
[Her worry about Steph can go unspoken.]
[spam]
No partying until I'm better. I can't exactly go to the pool like this. [ Or anywhere, really, for at least another day or two. ]

As soon as she sees Steph the whole senseless memory comes flooding back to her and she blanches. Of all the people on the ship, of everyone to kill, it had to be her? How could she even begin to apologize for this? Steph must be out for her blood, and Kon is never going to forgive her.
At least there's something she can say to break the ice. Agatha Christie is a classic for everybody.]
Have you read that one before? All my guesses who did it were wrong.
[spam]
I stopped trying to guess. We don't get all the facts anyway and it just makes me feel bad about my detective skills. [ Which aren't great, but they aren't horrible either. Mystery books are just designed to be frustrating like that. ]
