So uh... the flood is over, right? [ Steph looks kind of unsure about this. People are acting oddly. ]

I guess I just wanted to check in and make sure everyone is okay. Since a lot of people said a lot of things that they didn't really mean, and all.

[She headed over - maybe a little quicker than needed - trying not to think about the fact that Steph would be the first actual girl she'd talked to besides Arkady since...

Yeah.]

[ Steph lives just down the hall, so she's lounging on the couch with two bowls of cookie dough ice cream and a pair of spoons. ]

[Faith fairly much plops down besides the woman, no preamble, and grabs a spoon. It's about half way through that she notices Steph looks kind of cute, spoon faltering for a moment before she pushes that thought away.

Fuck.]

[ Steph doesn't notice. She's far too busy with her ice cream. She does glance over from time to time, trying to discern whether or not Faith wants to talk some more. ]

[For now she's content to watch the movie. If it's a chick flick she might be a little restless... if it's an action she'll get right into it. Hitting things is sort of Faith's thing, for better or worse.]

[ It's a Nic Cage, so it's somewhere in between. Steph's a little lost in thought herself, but she's seen this one a dozen times at least. ]

[She's a little bit more curious about what's on Steph's mind, glancing at the other woman from time to time.]

[ After a long while Steph notices the curious looks. ]

Hmm? What's up?

Something under your skin, BG?

Hm. Not really. Just thinking.

[Now you've got her attention.] Trade you a bite of ice cream if you spill? [Forget who's ice cream it was for the moment.]

It's my ice cream. It's not like it's a big deal or anything. Just thinking about the past.

[She jabs playfully with her spoon.] Spill.

[ She hold up a hand in surrender. ]

Okay, okay! I was thinking about the first time I met Tim. He thought I was some criminal and jumped me, and I bricked him in the face.

[That? Gets a laugh; An actual honest smile. Go you,BG.] Damn...

Ever spar with B? [She wants to know if the girl's good enough to go toe to toe with a slayer.]

Don't think so. I've sparred with practically everyone else on board, though. People get really bored.

Think you can handle me? [She's a little cautious about asking here; Faith and holding back never really got along. But if she doesn't find someone she can spar with soon - Dracula's great, but their last fight waS just about beating some sense into his head - she's going to go insane...]

Only one way to find out. [ She grins. Sparring? Totally her thing. ]

You got anything sharp around here? ['Cause, hey, sharp weapons are great equilizers against a slayer.... Not like punches actually work. Dang girls had been known to shake off a truck.]

Nah, but I have some boomerangs and a staff. [ Yes she takes them everywhere with her. :| ]
