[ Steph is laying on her bed with a book in front of her, closed. She’s using it as a surface to doodle on. This is a clear sign that she’s bored. ]

You know, it seems like all we talk about around here is floods. Or whatever other crazy thing just happened. We used to have movie nights. And a book club. Or so I’ve heard, it was never really my thing.

[ She rolls around onto her back, turning the camera upside down with her. ]

So what would you guys think if we had some sort of ping-pong social night? We could have ice cream. Or hot cocoa if it’s cold. I know a few people on board could use the practice socializing with other people in healthy ways.

Any takers? Any? At all?

Look at him, understanding these new fandangled human customs. "That's technically older than I am." Notices her eyeing the red glow. "Don't worry, I'm not planning on taking your pinky off with my telekinesis. Like I was saying earlier, my sensory experiences are tied into my telekinesis. So touching you with my telekinesis, rather than just my pinky, makes you feel more real."

She laughed a little awkwardly. Oops.

"Just keep it above the belt, okay?"

This time he gets what she is implying and then he realizes what she meant earlier, has one of those "oh" moments. This time around he can't help but laugh.

"Weren't you the one who said we shouldn't be flirting or is it okay because Tim's not here?" Teasing.

She laughed as well, waving off the concern with her free hand.

"I think I said that was only if we care about making Tim uncomfortable." If not, that was a necessary qualifier.

"Half the time it's like my life goal."

"Between pinky swears and making people uncomfortable as life goals, I don't know if I'll ever understand humans." He gets that she is teasing and the amused look on his face should indicate that he's not taking her too seriously.

"You've been so helpful towards me, that I feel like I'm obligated to help you reach your life goals."

"Oho," she laughed, "an ally!" Not that she would have any trouble making Tim uncomfortable on her own. They had too much history for it to be even remotely difficult.

"So it would seem." Notices their pinkies are still linked together. He lightly runs his fingers, which are glowing, along the palm of her hand and her fingers before he pulls his hand. "I might be all for your cause or maybe I just like flirting with you."

If he managed to miss her blush, he could almost certainly feel her blood pressure spike. But she smiled, even as she took her hand back and linked it with her other one behind her back.

"Bugging Tim can always just be a bonus."

Definitely catches the blush but he has the good graces to not comment on it.

"Sounds like a good bonus to me. Do you think he'll be at the ice cream party?" Has a genuinely curious look on his face. All teasing aside, Tim is someone he'd like to get to know better.

"Yeah," she answered enthusiastically, eager for a change in subject.

"He didn't believe me when I said I could kick his butt at ping pong, so he's coming to get it thrown in his face." She grinned wickedly.

"Ping pong?" He's heard of it before, but he doesn't have a clear image of what it is. "That's a sport, right?" Most of the sports new he came across involved football, football, and then some soccer and basketball.

"Sort of," she hedged. "It's more like a game. I'll have to show you on Thursday."
