Hey! Kon and I are back from our trip.

[ And from the bounce to her step and the light in her face, it did everything she needed it to and more. Steph is completely refreshed and ready to face the world. ]

I know we didn’t make a ton of noise about leaving, but here we are! [ They told the people who really mattered, and anyone else could have found out if they asked. ] What’d we miss?

We brought presents! Mostly really cheap presents, but Paris is expensive.

Hey. I have an idea and I need your help.

[ The video opens on two very sweaty girls outside of the Closed Training Simulator. Steph looks significantly the worse for wear than Cass and is still breathing almost too heavily to talk, but both girls look like they’re enjoying themselves. ]

So, the CTS cleans itself, right? [ She laughs, but it sounds more like gasping. ] I should have asked that before I agreed to this.

[ Cass just grins at Steph, far more focused on her friend than the fact that she’s being recorded. ]

You knew... what would happen. You threw up way more, should have to... clean it yourself.

[ She doesn’t mean that for a second, because she’d never stick Steph with all the work, but still. Teasing. ]

What? No, I’m practically an invalid! Look at me, I-- [ She pauses, an odd look on her face, and the camera pans around a bit. ] Cass, can you, I’m gonna--

[ Of course, Cass saw it coming, manages to grab Steph’s comm before it falls to the ground and just kind of holds it haphazardly as she reaches over to rub the other girl’s back. And then, the sounds of someone being very much sick. Don’t worry, she stuck her head back in the CTS so it’s all the same place. She goes on weakly from off-screen. ]

Totally worth it.

[ After a bit of fumbling, the feed turns to video, and a dingy little cell comes into focus. It takes her a moment to get the feed upright and pointed at her, as she's still a bit woozy from the tranqs. ]

Hey. Found Luther, no Buffy. Does anyone know if he made it back okay? He got dumped overboard, so he doesn't remember anything.

Oh, right. Little late, but consider this my call for backup.

[ooc | dated back to about two hours into port. Yes, she got caught that fast. Screw you too, Luther. ]

[ Steph points the camera at her wall - a familiar scene from her last post, with some... pertinent changes. ]

First flood in a while I've gotten to keep a souvenir from. Actually I think it's kind of cute. [ She pans around, and it looks like most of her posters got similar treatment. The doodles were left alone, luckily. Finally it pans back to Steph herself. ]

Anyway, you guys know the drill. I hope nobody got too badly hurt.

Look, this... this isn't my Gotham. But the layout is pretty much the same, and I still have to help these people. You're welcome to come with me or go on your own, but I have to do this. I want you to check in, at least twice a day. Noon and midnight works. If you get in trouble I want you to get to the top of Wayne Tower. If you can't get to the top, hide near the bottom. If I don't hear from you I'll check on you there. Got that?
