[ After training with Dick for a good while, Stephanie returns to her room, takes a shower, and sends a quick message to Randal just in case he's awake. Either way she's off to his room, where she will be knocking on the door. ]

Hey, it's Steph!

[The door, only closed halfway, swings open when she knocks.

By this point, Randal has wormed his way into the laundry pile - a bad habit picked up from Dante - or vice versa. Said laundry pile shifts when she announces herself, but aside from some incoherent mumbling, that's about all the response she gets.]

[ She makes a face at the laundry pile, then starts looking for something to throw at it. ]

I'm not too old to jump on you.

[There's a bit more motion from what could be called the "head" of the laundry pile, and Randal peers out blearily at her.]

[ She mimes aiming a rifle at his head and shooting him. ]

[He pushes himself up, picking a stray sock off his (hat-less) head, and looks around in what might be disorientation. He finally digs into the laundry pile and produces a battered game case, which he tosses to her.]

[ She catches it easily and glances around for the game system. ]

Around four, I think? Geez, and mom says my room is messy.

[He pushes himself to his feet, somehow manages to find his hat in the mess, and kicks a few odds and ends out of the way to reach the television and, by proxy, the X-Box.]

My mom's not here to clean mine.

[He shrugs - one of those hugely emphatic shrugs - and gives a sweeping gesture to the room.]

And give up all the conversation value? I think it gives it character. Like a Ming vase, but less expensive and not owned by a douchebag.

[He kicks a beanbag chair towards her and holds out a controller.]

It's certainly... colorful. [ She eyes the beanbag chair suspiciously, but it seems at least reasonably not-disgusting. She grabs the controller and plops down on it, ready to kick some butt. ]

So where are you from, anyway? I never did ask.

[He says this as though he lives in Disneyland.

After kicking aside some of the mess, he sits on the ground beside her and gets the game rolling.]

[ She glances over at him in surprise. That's... probably the first time anybody has shown any knowledge of a Batgirl. ]
