I think the only reason Iris trusts me on my own is because Babs does, and she knows I've been throwing myself at danger for 3 years and I'm not going to stop.

That's just stupid. I know how much it takes to graduate. And you still seem willing to learn new things. That's more than a lot of people can say.

Yeah, that's a little bit what got me killed in the first place. It's hard, not to assume the worst of yourself when other people have been doing it for you for years.

It's kind of complicated. I accidentally started a gang war, and a would-be gang boss caught me in the middle of it.

[tucky]

Are you a gangster, Steph? I didn't know that.

I'm a vigilante. I fight gangsters.

[tucky]

Oh.

[That makes more sense, considering what she knows of Steph.]

I knew you did the crime-fighting stuff.

See, Batman has connections in the gang world. He has to, to keep an eye on things. It's all very secret.

So secret he didn't tell his partner about it until after it got her killed.

Were you involved in that?

[ichoosefight]

He had these plans, you know? Like... fantasy football, hypothetical plans to get crime under control that I guess were kind of drastic. I stole one, when he fired me. I got all the bosses of all the gangs in Gotham to meet up, and one guy was supposed to talk to them, convince them to team up under his control.

Well the guy was Batman, only I didn't know. So while everyone was waiting for a guy who didn't know he was supposed to show up, the gang bosses get antsy.

They... well, one freaked out, and they all started shooting. One guy and his bodyguard made it out, barely. Out of twenty people.
