Sorry, I should have said something. I had a really bad headache.

[ She gives him a dubious look. That sounds. So much like an excuse. ]

You know they make pills for that.

My 'headaches' are different than most beings. Since my consciousness is spread throughout my entire body, it's like having a headache all over the place.

That does sound bad. Are you feeling better?

I am. [Hesitates before he continues. He doesn't want to worry her but he doesn't like keeping secrets either. They've started to pile up and it makes him uncomfortable.]

Something else happened. Well, it's what lead to the headache.

Around the time I first arrived on the Barge, I gave Tim a sample of my DNA so I could learn more about myself. N.O.W.H.E.R.E. always lied to me, so I couldn't trust anything he said.

I got the results back and..I--I didn't like them.

Yes...and no. I don't know but I think my genetics are the real reason I'm here. Bad things happen when I get really upset and start to lose control of my powers.

But your genetics aren't your fault. There has to be a way you can control it, right?

It doesn't matter if they are my fault or not, they have consequences all the same. [Sighs.] I'll find a way. [He has some ideas but he won't share those just yet.] I stopped myself from destroying Tim's lab but it wasn't easy.

Is he alright? I mean, is everything alright?

[Nods.] He's alright and so is the lab. I was able to take myself out before I did any serious damage, hence the headache.

When you say "take yourself out"...?

My powers have been altered here so that's really difficult for me to use them against living beings. If I do, it starts to give me a 'headache'. My powers can also be used to be like an extension of me. When I touch something with them, it's like I'm touching it myself.

To make a long story short, I grabbed a hold of a certain glowing green space rock and gave Tim a shove. The combined effect was enough to disrupt my powers.

[Nods.] I'm okay now. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you and there is some good news that comes out of all of this.

[ She gives him a sad little smile. She was worried, okay? ]

Yeah? What'd you find out?

[That sad little smile hits him right in the feels.]

Are you in your room? I'll tell you there.

Shows up at her door not that long after and knocks on the door.]

Hey, it's me.

[ She answers the door a little too quickly. ]

Hey. Come on in.

[Steps inside and once she has the chance to close the door, he gives her a hug.]

Next time something comes up, I promise I'll let you know as soon as I can.

[ She relaxes into his arms, a small smile on her face as she hugs him back. ]
