[ Voice, Warden Filter ]

I'm getting ready for our weekly Warden report, and it occurs to me that we end up skipping a week or two pretty often. I think we fill in the gaps pretty well through word of mouth, but it's hard when you have to make up for a month of missed reports, and it's happened more than once.

So out of curiosity, who keeps daily files? Or any kind of consistent files, I suppose. Just so we know who's in the know.

My notes are complicated, scattered, and precise. To completely remove an individual would require more than theft--and that you say there are similar issues. I cannot remember why I did not write down his arrival, nor can I remember which day it was. It might be within me to forget one of these things, but hardly both. It is troubling, no matter the cause.

We'll have to look further into it. And at some point we're going to have to start making assumptions to work with.

[ She sighs, now more riffling through the files than actually trying to read them. No mention of any Adam, and no names she doesn't recognize. ]

Bah, assumptions. {He says as though it is a personal insult. He walks over to the table, starting to look through the files he left there.} It is far more prudent to find the proper questions, are there no notes because we have all been affected to never have made them, or because there has been little to note? Barring the possibility, however remote, that they were stolen and our recollections regarding them erased.

Questions are great, but at some point we're going to need to do something about this. I'm talking to somebody about finding a psychic to poke around in our brains, see what's going on that way. Better than empty speculation, at least.

{Holmes gestures dismissively, with a forced smile—where normally he'd have been irritated.} A case that lies sufficiently outside my realm of experience.
