I'm getting ready for our weekly Warden report, and it occurs to me that we end up skipping a week or two pretty often. I think we fill in the gaps pretty well through word of mouth, but it's hard when you have to make up for a month of missed reports, and it's happened more than once.

So out of curiosity, who keeps daily files? Or any kind of consistent files, I suppose. Just so we know who's in the know.

I have a different account of events from the 1st of January this year.

I just checked in with someone I was... exchanging a Bible with, marking different passages. The passages marked are different to those we remember giving.

Someone is definitely messing with our memories, and Adam is involved. We just need to know how and why.

...I don't really buy it.

I mean, what's to say it isn't the other way around? Someone's planting these documents to make us think Adam's a bad guy?

It's just as plausible, isn't it?

[ She shakes her head. ] Too many files, too little time. The only way that makes sense is if we've jumped to an alternate dimension, and Adam is the difference between the dimensions.

...Who said he's the bad guy? I just said he was involved.

And people's brains are somehow less complicated than changing files?

I'm disagreeing. I think it's a set up, somehow. I think someone's doing a relatively thorough job of trying to make us doubt ourselves.

O'Brien, anyone?

But when, and how? Some of the files in question are in different languages, computer code, handwritten. I'm not ruling it out, I'm just saying it's unlikely. Do you know anybody who has the power to change that many files in that little time?

And what about the other memories people are losing? Is this a flood, or something different? If we did find ourselves in another dimension, are there other people we're missing who we just haven't noticed yet, or is Adam the only difference? Is the loss of memory because of the change, or are people just sincerely losing their minds? Give me a plausible working theory and I'll run with it, but those are the two I've got right now.

I don't know. I really... don't bloody know, Steph, and I'm not really in the mood to actually go figuring it out.

Just don't go jumping to conclusions that some sheets of paper might be right and our memories aren't.

It wouldn't be the first time, Howie. I'm just asking questions. There's no reason to get up in arms about it. If you don't want to find out what's going on, fine. I do.

This week's kind of horrible. I got killed on the 1st. Back in the real world.
