50 - Video - She actually planned this one ahead

[ Voice, Warden Filter ]

I'm getting ready for our weekly Warden report, and it occurs to me that we end up skipping a week or two pretty often. I think we fill in the gaps pretty well through word of mouth, but it's hard when you have to make up for a month of missed reports, and it's happened more than once.

So out of curiosity, who keeps daily files? Or any kind of consistent files, I suppose. Just so we know who's in the know.

So what we know for sure is that Adam is new, and we have memories of him. Does that mean our memories have been altered, or our records?

Either is possible, but Kay's records are hard copy, handwritten in Gallifreyan, and mine are heavily encrypted and under a security block of my own programming. So to alter the records a person or groups of persons would have to have the ability to access to our personal space, forge hundreds of pages of Kay's handwriting in Gallifreyan and hack through the finest computer security the most technologically advanced race in the universe can offer. [Narvin is not big on modesty.] Not to mention whatever other skills would be required to alter others' records. And accomplish it all within a few days.

It's not impossible, but mass alteration of memories is easier. A strong enough telepathic field could do it. [He's not going to mention that for a while he thought that he might have been behind something like that and was blocking the memories from himself.]

A third possibility is that the records are from one universe, and are accurate to that universe, and we are from another. That somehow we and our alternate selves were switched. And Adam exists in our universe but not the one the records are from.

Based on some of the posts people are making, it looks like something or someone is messing with everyone's memories to begin with. That's what made me look back in the first place. The alternate universe theory is a good one, but there's more going on here than a few misplaced records.

So the question is, how is Adam involved, and what can we do about it?

How many telepaths do you know?

To answer your second question first, all the Time Lords on board are telepaths of greater or lesser skill. As for Adam...right now I can only speculate. I'll check my database for both methods of hijacking memory and alternate universe shifts.

I think it would be best if a telepath could discreetly poke around and see if it's our memories being messed with or not. And maybe, although I hate to point fingers, see if whatever it is affecting people's memories now is affecting Adam too, or if he might be causing it. We can't rule anything out at this point.

Agent Kay informs me that Adam is not in Miss Persson's, Miss Harding's, Braxiatel's, or Sergeant Howie's notes. Nor, according to Dr. Jones, does he have a medical file.

Affected or not, he seems to be at the centre of it. Whatever it is.

I'll do what snooping I can.

[And shortly after this, he's going to get shot by Rex.]
