There's nothing much to say.

How about "Hi? How are you? I noticed you passed out for... what, three days? You've been on the barge a long time, how do you like it? Are you making friends? Are the kids at school picking on you?" You're supposed to be so freaking creative, surely you can think of something. You aren't even trying.

There's no school here. I'll assume that you've formed a few friendships because of your nature, and you've bonded with Dick. Your relationship with Tim is still tenuous. Your experience on the Barge has been mixed, between that inmate sometime ago [ Black Mask ] and the friends you've made. Something disturbs you enough right now that you're talking to an inmate who is known to be disturbing. You woke up from your Barge coma and fell back into it, and there's not yet an explanation for that.

I don't ask questions to things I know.

[ Scathingly, ] I'm talking to Hoffman because he is a person, and as such deserves to be taken as is and not judged for something he knows was wrong.

I thought being Batgirl would make me a part of the family. Even Jason is more welcoming than you are.

Instead her voice turns quiet and she looks away from the communicator dejectedly, completely deflated. ]

Again and again, Bruce is getting confirmed that his last thought is true. That the people he cares about has no idea how much he cares about them. He turns away from the camera, closes his eyes. ]

I almost killed him. [ There's nothing to hint about which 'him' he's talking about. She should know. ]

Because- [ a sharp inhale ] of what he did.

He's not the one who destroyed Gotham.

[ Missing the point, for the win. ]

[ A pause. He slams the communicator shut, cutting off the connection so he can stand up and walk away and not say something he will regret later.

It takes a few minutes. Then, he goes back. Switches on the connection. Turns it to text. ]

[ She keeps video on to give him a tired, wry look. ]

We'll call it a team effort.

[ He thought he'd made himself crystal clear in the last two messages, but apparently not. ]
