89,26 - It was all just a horrible dream
[Text]
I still want to have a party. The pool is heated, might be fun. Or maybe decorate gingerbread cookies or something. Anyway it’s coming, whenever I’m feeling better. I’m open to suggestions.

[ When Steph first wakes up her thought process goes a little like this:
What a horrible nightmare. Better stay awake until I’m sure it’s gone.
It was so vivid. I can almost feel where she stabbed me. I feel kinda nauseous.
Huh, this looks like the infirmary.
Oh. This is the infirmary.
Holy crap I died.
She flails wildly in an attempt to roll out of bed and get her bearings before quickly realizing that moving is a horrible idea. ]

[Steph sits in the infirmary for several days, sleeping and eating jell-o and occassionally reading. She feels awful, but she likes to think she’s making the best of it by catching up on some classics. Agatha Christie is someone’s idea of a classic, right? ]

Steph?
[Her voice is soft as she wheels over, and a bit strained. Maybe she should have waited - she's never had to deal with someone coming back from the dead but she just couldn't.]

What's in the box?

Cookies, mostly. Whenever you can eat them. And something to keep you company.
[She hands Steph the tin. If she opens it, she'll find a little Spoiler doll, nestled beside the stacks of oatmeal cranberry.
It had come with Barbara, like all the rest, when she arrived on the Barge. She'd started making it after the Joker escaped; it had been pretty clear, by then, that Spoiler was becoming part of their makeshift family, even if certain people wouldn't admit it.
She'd only just finished, before the Admiral's offer. Fitting, maybe.]

Did you make this? [ It's really. Really sweet. And she was already feeling kind of emotional what with the whole death thing. ]
Re: Spam
[A sudden, sly grin.] You should see Discowing. [...And her smile drops as suddenly as it came.]

Complete with frill?

In retrospect, she should have realised how much she would come to care for the girl the moment she let her in the tower. (Dinah knew, she's pretty sure.)]
I got real feathers.

I bet it looks just like him. Have you seen Tim's Red Robin getup? That one deserves a plushie too. [ She sits the little Spoiler doll in her lap and nibbles at the cookies. They're hard to resist, even with an upset stomach. ]

I'll have to get him to model it for me.
