[ For the entire post, except for the parts deleted, Stephanie's voice has a quality of dead calm. This has to be about business, getting things done. There's been and will be plenty of time for mourning. ]

[ Private to Barge Blotters ]

I need a few days to myself, so I won't be able to do the write up this week. I'd appreciate if someone could take it over. I've got a couple notes for you, but it's not much.

[ Public ]

Tim Drake was killed earlier today, multiple bullet wounds to the back and chest. First floor hallway. I left him in the infirmary a few hours ago. I didn't get a good look at the guy, but he was about six foot, maybe five nine, short brown hair, muscular build.

Find him.

[ Private to Bruce and Dick, strikes readable but deleted ]

I tried, I did everything I could--

I was just too late.

I'm sorry. I'm so--

The infirmary can't find the body. I... don't think he's coming back this time.

[ooc | TIM IS NOT ACTUALLY DEAD. THERE IS NO KILLER. Stephanie is hallucinating, and will continue to do so. She is also conveniently unaware that there is a flood on.

For the remainder of the flood, should anyone try to convince her that Tim is alive, she will hallucinate an entirely different conversation until they stop. If you try to bring Tim to her or if Tim tries to find her, she will be mysteriously impossible to find anywhere. You're welcome to actually play out both sides of the conversation, hallucination and real, or handwave it as an extended silence on Stephanie's part. Spam totally welcome. ]

So now that everyone's memories are back where they belong and according to my calendar we've got a few days of barge quiet while we wait for new arrivals to flood in, who's up for a ping pong tournament? Air band concert? Pizza party? Bake off? Plate full of nothing but mashed potatoes? Maybe just a nice relaxing book suggestion?

Actually, while I'm thinking of it, do we keep bubble bath in the supply closet? Because if not, I may need to hand my shopping list to the Admiral.

[ Private to Tim ]

So I know we put this off for a whole week or something because it seemed like a bad idea, and I know it is a bad idea and all, I just wanted you to know that I'm not going to hold you to that promise. In case you were worried.

[ Voice, Warden Filter ]

I'm getting ready for our weekly Warden report, and it occurs to me that we end up skipping a week or two pretty often. I think we fill in the gaps pretty well through word of mouth, but it's hard when you have to make up for a month of missed reports, and it's happened more than once.

So out of curiosity, who keeps daily files? Or any kind of consistent files, I suppose. Just so we know who's in the know.

...Rated PG-13 for language Steph doesn't even understand. Sob.

[ Video ]

[ The feed comes on rather by chance, since fortunately her communicator is set to ‘video’. A very young blonde girl in pigtails is staring at it, disappointed that the buttons don’t make sounds. She pouts before putting it down and grabbing a blanket. Where did that particular blanket come from? Don’t ask, Steph will never tell you. Sticking her thumb in her mouth, she holds the communicator with her blanket, filling the screen with a beige-ish blackness. ]

Mommy? Mooooommy…. I’m hungwy. Moooooooommyyyyyyyyyy…

[ You’re waiting for a train. You’re in a hall. On deck, maybe. In the infirmary? It doesn’t matter much where. You’re minding your own business, when suddenly, you feel a tugging sensation. A small child, looking to be about five, is tugging on your pants or skirt. She carries a blanket with her, and looks up at you with her big blue eyes. ]

Can you help me? I’m lost.
