19 - Video - When did I get awesome friends?

I'm alive!

[ Steph has cleaned herself up, even put on a little makeup to hide the bags under her eyes! She's a bit sluggish, but very much alive, as she says. The light is on in her room and everything. ]

And you know what? Whatever I missed, I don't want to hear about it. Unless it will directly effect my life moving forward, I am shutting my ears.

[ She sets the communicator down on her desk and picks up her iPod, shuffling through some of the songs. Her expression turns from one of tired relief to one of focus, then indecision, then disappointment, and finally she puts it down with a sigh. ]

I'm not feeling the music today. Instead... let's go on a little field-trip. [ And up we go, communicator in hand, out Stephanie's door and into the hall, where she turns around to show a very cute drawing of some honeysuckle flowers pasted to her door. ]

Isn't that sweet? Now if that doesn't brighten your day, I don't know what would. Thanks, Claire. You're the best. Maybe next week I'll have some music for you.

[ She's about to turn off the feed when she remembers something. ]

Oh! And thanks to everyone who brought me food, or just came to visit. Sorry if I snapped at you. Or. Threw something at you. I don't really remember if that was in my head or not.

[ Private to Blonsky ]

Still alive, I hope?

[ As much as she tried to distract herself, Stephanie couldn't stop thinking about the grave digger. She still remembered the floor she had met him on, almost the exact spot. It lingered in the back of her mind, but she fought the desire to seek it out. The last thing she wanted was to go through that last week again, and drugs were definitely not something she wanted to be dependent on. Still, come nightfall she found herself wandering the halls. She told herself she was just going for a walk, but she lingered on the second floor longer than she really should have. This was the place, right here, where she last saw the grave digger before everything turned... sparkly. Maybe if she wished hard enough, he would appear and she would be magically rid of whatever it was he injected her with. If he hadn't been lying about one thing or another, she wouldn't have suffered withdrawal after two doses. There certainly wasn't any drug she was familiar with that heightened her senses like she was beginning to think this had. In a place like this, it wasn't a 'gift' she appreciated. ]
