[ Anyone who's seen Steph react in a crisis likely recognizes the outfit she's wearing now. The suit goes up to cover her neck, features colored padding down her sides and the insides of her arms. The gloves have spikes. She doesn't wear the cape or mask these days. The main differences are that it seems to be glowing, the paneling is green, and there isn't a bat on her chest anymore. No, it's been replaced with the Green Lantern symbol.

There is also a definite green tinge to her skin, though it could just be a trick of the eye. ~~It isn't though.~~ She eyes the camera entirely uncertainly. ]

So, uh... unless there's a new GL on board, Aya, I think I've got something of yours.

[ She looks down at her costume, which she has to admit looks pretty snazzy in green. ]

Only I'm not wearing a Green Lantern ring, so... how do I get it off?

Not always. Sometimes it just... feels really good.

[Aya accepts the comm with a very strange sensation in her lower abdomen. The feed is switched on, and she watches the recorded conversation from the very beginning.]

[It takes less than a minute for the tears to start flowing. For the hands holding the device to tremble.]

[She shuts it off even before it can play through, looking up at Stephanie in near horror.]

[ Steph takes the comm and puts it away, hesitating only a moment before sliding an arm around Aya's shoulders. ]

I'm sorry. Like I said, whatever happened... it must have been really bad.

[She shook her head, hand rising to wipe at the trails of water streaking down her cheeks.]

There was something wrong. The words alone. Did you not detect the distinct changes is vocal frequency and pattern? The altered coloring of both the coloring of construct and metalic components?

Of course I did. But you... she wasn't very forthcoming with answers. I barely got through the basic stuff.

A copy, perhaps? One who was given most of my memories and a similar physical appearance?

[Still wracking her brain for possibilities, despite the severe downgrade in processing power for the moment. Of course, a 'copy' would not explain how it was Aya, here, now, as a result of the latest Port.]

If that were true then why would you be here now, memories intact?

[ It seems they were thinking the same thing. But even if this was a copy, the Admiral gave real names when he paired people. ]

Is there any way you can think of that this might be possible if it's just... you?

[She tried to think back. This was obviously more than merely shutting down emotions. That alone would not have caused the physical changes. Nor the drastic shift in views.]

[ Steph just blinks. Really, none of this makes sense with what she knows about the Anti-Monitor. ]

If I could think of anything, I would have already told you. But I do not understand enough of what happened to me to make a logical deduction. I remember...the Anti-Monitor struck me with his weaponry. I was severely damaged. The ship was too far away for me to download back into its systems.

The other you said that she destroyed the Anti-Monitor. So you must have figured something out.

It would depend upon what the Anti-Monitor had done to my systems before then. An ally of the Red Lanterns had attempted to reprogram me once before.

If you were reprogrammed... I don't know. [ She muses as she stares into her cocoa. ]

I don't really get how this place works sometimes. But can someone be an inmate because of a flaw in programming?
