[ It's just an address. If she's ever been to Bruce's townhouse, she'll recognize the address. Cass isn't quite up to words right now. So hopefully, Steph will figure this out. ]

[ Steph has never been there. Or, for that matter, talked to this version of Bruce. She doesn't understand. She does go to the address and scope the place out. ]

You can come in. Skylight's open.

[ For what it's worth? She doesn't sound at all 'fine'. ]

Already?

[ Her friend senses are tingling, so rather than wait for an answer she scales the building and slips in through the skylight. ]

Cass?

[ Cass is curled up with a large dog on the couch. The dog looks up and is clearly wary of her as Steph makes her way in, but Cass shakes her head firmly and speaks a command to let Ace know that she's a friend before letting his collar go. ]

They're gone.

[ She glances around the townhouse; honestly, it's beautiful, entirely furnished, with a fully stocked kitchen. Heck, even the fridge is stocked at the moment. ]

He and Clark. Bruce. [ She's never all that comfortable with his name. In her head, he's Batman. Always. ] He left the house to me. And the dog.

action!

[ Steph hesitates before the dog, but approaches again once he settles down. He certainly looks like he could do some damage if he wanted to.

She doesn't look at the house, just her friend. She sits down next to her, close enough that their legs touch. ]

Oh. Cass, I'm sorry. I didn't know he was leaving.

[ Cass doesn't say anything. Instead, she leans over and puts her arms around Steph, holds on almost a little too tight. Because she won't have her when she goes home. At least, not for a while. But she has her now. And she'd had him. And that hurts. But it's better than it could be.

Eventually, she'll look up at Steph and shrug. When does Batman ever tell people he's leaving? ]

[ Steph hugs her back. This will be good for both of them, she thinks. Bruce may be gone, but Steph can be there for Cass every day. Just like it used to be.

Though that may be comforting for Cass to know. She bumps her head affectionately on Cass' shoulder. ]

Did I ever tell you we've been living together, back home?

[ That gets a nod. Because yes, she'd mentioned. Or... perhaps she'd just figured that out from the way Stephanie acted. It was 'said' but it's hard to say if there were words involved. ]

[ She smiles. ]

For a year, now. Things outside got bad, but we always had a place to come home to.

You'll have that here, too.

[ She's quiet for a moment, clearly taking that in, before nodding and giving Steph another squeeze. Then, leaning up, she presses a kiss to the other girl's cheek.

Steph is home too. In ways she's not sure she'll ever be able to explain. ]

[ Steph was hoping Cass would take it that way. She feels the same way, after all. She gives Cass a squeeze in return. ]

[ She doesn't take very long before she breathes in and pulls back to look around. ]

Do you like it?

[ Do they want to stay here? ]

[ichoosefight]

I like it. [ But the important thing is what Cass thinks. After all, Steph doesn't have any memories of this place. ]

Do you?

[ She glances around the room for a moment, considering the first time she'd come here. The parties she'd come to here. The dog that she'd been cuddling until a moment ago. The skylight. ]

I do. The space is nice.

Then it's decided. I'll bring my things.

We both will.

[ And there's a faint smile on there. ]

Also ice cream. It's a 24/7 slumber party from here on out.
