I think I've made a breakthrough in how the barge works. See, I spent the last couple of days poking around in my communicator since I learned how to do that last port (which is incredibly cool, by the way), and I've come to the conclusion that our network functions on magic.

We haven't either. Last time we talked it ended on kind of a sour note, and I figured "what the hell?" It's not like I talk to anyone else I've ever slept with.

[For once, Steph mentioning the time she slept with Sylar doesn't turn her stomach like it used to. There was barely a twinge of...whatever.

I think I gave up with the place, honestly. Can't seem to catch a break. Which is probably smarter and better. Let's me focus on the Inmates and there's no pressure on who would have to leave who's world if I ever did find someone.

See, this is why I adore you. People think I'm crazy for staying after I've already helped someone graduate. But...I like helping. I want to stay for that alone, at least. Before I had gone home the second time, I felt like I was supposed to stay.

[ She laughs. ] I keep trying to explain it to O'Brien. He thinks I'm deluding myself.

He's so not the only one. Usually when I tell people how long I've been here I get this wtf look and an incredulously asked 'why?' [Rolls her eyes.] But some get it. Course, seems those some keep disappearing. Charlie seemed to understand, but like I said, he's gone off into where-ever we disappear to.
