Well. That was an experience. One that I wasn't actually warned about. And considering I've been here, what, ten months now? I think maybe we ought to add that into the welcome packet. "When we take port, for the love of god hold onto something".

It's not so bad, especially when you can go home every now and then.

I'll probably have to finish my training before I can visit home. But maybe that's for the best.

What are you training for?

I have an inborn power which is controlled through magic and ritual. I have to make sure it's completely under control, and that I have enough skill and self restraint to keep it that way.

Ah! Yeah, magic is cool but it's preeeetty important that you be able to control it.

...yeah. Otherwise it's a big scary mess. Which is kinda how I got here. I don't actually want to be Sweating Dynamite Girl. Or follow in Father's footsteps, though he'd probably be pissed to hear that.

My inmate fell out of Zero, so I doubt that holding on will do much good in the event of a bad docking.

Actually they had these things that were sort of like gps, only much more efficient and pretty reasonably priced depending where you looked, but there's this one shop downtown where you can get just the insides so if you buy the cheapest version and take it to someone who knows what they're doing you can get one that works really--
