I got another reminder of how much better I would be doing if Daddy Dearest had died when I was small and never got his hands on me. It was nice to not be seven fucking years behind everyone else my age in socialization, education and practical knowledge. Not to mention finally having enough magical lore to study, not having the nightmares and not living in a hellish prison.
