[ The feed comes on rather by chance, since fortunately her communicator is set to ‘video’. A very young blonde girl in pigtails is staring at it, disappointed that the buttons don’t make sounds. She pouts before putting it down and grabbing a blanket. Where did that particular blanket come from? Don’t ask, Steph will never tell you. Sticking her thumb in her mouth, she holds the communicator with her blanket, filling the screen with a beige-ish blackness. ]

Mommy? Mooooommy…. I’m hungwy. Moooooooommyyyyyyyyyy…

[ Open Spam ]

[ ~~You’re waiting for a train.~~ You’re in a hall. On deck, maybe. In the infirmary? It doesn’t matter much where. You’re minding your own business, when suddenly, you feel a tugging sensation. A small child, looking to be about five, is tugging on your pants or skirt. She carries a blanket with her, and looks up at you with her big blue eyes. ]

Can you help me? I’m lost.

[Waking up in a strange room, in a strange bed, next to a strange lady was a story Tim wasn't sure anyone would believe at the time: but now that he's had a chance to start exploring, he's not sure he can believe it himself. This place is weird, and potentially dangerous, and now there's a tiny girl tugging his pants. Tim blinks and crouches down after glancing up and down the hall.]

Um. I'm not sure where we are, but I can try. What's your name?

Steph! [ She answers with a big smile. He's gonna help her! ] What's yoor name?

[...Aww. Protective instincts emerging.] I'm Tim. Nice to meet you, Steph. [And he stands, holding out his hand to her.] Come on, let's look around.

[ She takes the hand with the one holding her blanket so her other thumb can go in her mouth. ]

Tim, I'm hungry. Do you know where the kitchen is?

[Dick has ventured out of his room to go up on deck, and doesn't notice the girl until she's tugging on his pants. Why are there so many kids here? :|a]

... I can try. What's your name?

I'm Steph! What's yoor name?

Dick. What are you looking for? [Maybe you live here? :|]

I can't find my mommy. [ That's a no :c ]

... Maybe she's around here somewhere. And if she's not, I'll make sure we find out a way to tell her where you are, okay?

[ She shakes her head fervently. ] Nuh uh! She'll tell daddy, and daddy will get mad.

Won't they want to know where you are?

I jus wanna find mommy.

... Okay, where have you looked already?

I dunno. I dunno where I am...

[ Basically? She hasn't even tried opening any doors besides her own yet. ]

It's gonna be okay, Steph. Do you know where you live when you're not here?

Let's look for your mom. We don't have to worry about your dad right now.

[ She stops giggling long enough to smile up at him. ]

[He offers his hand to her.] Come on, this other boy was gonna try to find some police officers too. Maybe they'll know where your mom is.
