35 - Audio, Text - I'm too tired to use filters.

[ Audio ]

I'm back. That means crisis averted, right? Or at least ended. Whatever. [ A groan. She sounds beat all to hell and exhausted. ]

Feel like I was hit by a bus... that tried to dissect me.

[ Steph fumbles tiredly with the communicator a little, finally getting it set on Video so you can see the infirmary and confirm that yes, she looks tired, but relatively healthy. She doesn't have that "I haven't slept in days" look that death-tollers have. She gives the camera a sleepy little smile before turning serious. ]

Hey, uh, has anybody seen my backpack? It's... sort of dark green, pretty average looking? I had it when I... whatever I did. Got hit by a metaphysical bus. Anyway, it didn't make it to the infirmary with me. Do we have a lost and found here? We should start a lost and found.

[ Private to Tim and Dick, added a little later ]

[ She dun goofed. But Tim asked her to let him know, and Dick should probably know too. So. Somebody looks tired and upset with herself! ]

In the future, if you can at all help it, don't let me use this thing until I've had coffee.

If you move, you're going to hurt yourself. Worse, he might just follow you to your room, and then he'll know where you live. I'll come stay with you.

And what's to stop him later, when I'm better? What's to stop him ever? I'm willing to risk a few popped stitches for a locked door.

You're staying right where you are. [Even if he has to make sure of that himself. :|] I'll be there in a few seconds.

Fine. [ Read: I'd like to see you try B| ]

[He speaks Steph. :| Which is why he's heading to the infirmary right now.]

[ She does try to escape, popping a second stitch in the process. But she wants out, dammit. ]

[Damn it Steph. :| Tim gets there before she can pop a third, frowning.]

Are you bleeding again?

Only a little.

[Stare. Hard stare. Then he's just turning to find some kind of bandage before returning.] Here. Try not to pop any more of them, all right?

No promises. [ Why yes, yes she is in a foul mood. She's been tormented by Roman, went to some serious emotional depths with Sylar, the stitches foiled her escape, Cissie lectured her, and now Tim's probably going to tie her to her bed. There are only a handful of ways this day could possibly get worse. ]

Please get me out of here.

[He'll tie her to the bed, but at least he'll stay with her. Tim shakes his head.] If there was no one who could stay here with you, maybe I would. But I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere, and I don't want him seeing where you live if I help you limp back.

[ She's really more pouting than scowling, because honestly at this point her foul mood is just her sulking. The both of them made very good points, they just weren't the ones she wanted to hear. ]

Do you know what Dick's up to? I haven't heard from him.

[He half frowns back at her, sitting on the end of the bed.] Not sure. I think he's been busy. [They had a fight. :c]

[ She may be pouting a little. Dick was there when she was upset. ]

How long am I stuck here?

[Sylar had entered the infirmary some time before he finally makes his way over toward Stephanie's bed, having been sidetracked by Cissie. When the girl leaves crying down the hall towards her room, he finally starts looking for his warden and friend.

The inmate spots them from a small distance and pauses there, not wanting to interrupt. He knows Tim will notice him and wants his warden to either come speak to him or to invite him over, to show Tim that he's trying again.]

Until the doctors say otherwise. [He caught sight of Sylar quickly, and nodded toward the other man. He turned his head just slightly toward Steph again, keeping his inmate in sight.] You mind if I ask him over?

Yeah. I... sort of invited him.

[Sylar stood there waiting, knowing Tim had seen them and seeing the two make a small exchange. His hands clenched into fists at his sides, but then they released again and he called no abilities forth. He just watched and waited.]

[Well then. Tim just stared at Steph for a moment, before looking back up at Sylar. He eyed his inmate's hands, for just a moment, and if he was pleased - and he was - it didn't show on his face for more than a moment. but he nodded his head a little, gesturing Sylar over.]

[ Steph gives Sylar and awkward little smile. She still isn't sure if she trusts him, but at least he understands that she needs to get out of here, and she trusts him one hell of a lot more than she trusts Roman. Then she turns back to Tim to give him a small shrug, adding quietly, ]

It's complicated.
